(1) Part of a confirmation by Canterbury Cathedral Priory involving the prior and convent of Leeds Priory and St Albans Abbey. [Perhaps relating to Woodnesborough. An account book of Leeds Priory contains an entry for a payment of £5 6s 8d to the abbot of St Albans for the tithes of Ringleton in Woodnesborough ('Wynysburgh'') (DCc-ChAnt/L/405, f21v).] Dated 10, 11 and 13 Aug, no year. (2) Confirmation by Prior Robert Hathbrande and the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory to Mgr John de Southwaltham, warden of the chapel of St Thomas the Martyr, Stratford-on-Avon [Warwickshire], and the priests of the chapel of St Thomas the Martyr, Stratford-on-Avon, relating to the apropriation of the parish church of Stratford by the bishop of Worcester. Part of a charter issued by Simon de Montacute, bishop of Worcester, concerning the foundation of the chantry by John Stratford, formerly bishop of Worcester and later archbishop of Canterbury, recited.
