Jurisdiction when the see of Salisbury is vacant has been disputed at the Roman curia, but the dispute has now been settled. Procedure for choosing an official to exercise jurisdiction in the city and diocese of Salisbury when the see falls vacant. Details of oath to be taken by the official. The official shall answer to the archbishop for the revenues of the see and shall carry out duties as specified. Procedure for choosing a replacement if the offical dies, leaves or is removed before the vacancy ends. The archdeacon and canons shall exercise the jurisdiction that they exercise when the see is full. Provisions relating to jurisdiction to be exercised by the dean and chapter, including jurisdiction over the churches of Preshut ('Preschet'), Poulshot ('Paulesholte'), Bremhill ('Bremle') and Salisbury St Thomas and the religious house of Kington St Michael Priory ('Kyngton' monialium') [all Wiltshire], of which the bishop of Salisbury is patron, and over the monasteries of Sherborne Abbey ('Scyrburn'') [Dorset], Milton Abbey [Berkshire], Cerne Abbey [Dorset], Lacock Abbey [Wiltshire] and Abingdon Abbey ('Abendon'') [Berkshire]. Provisions relating to profits received by the official. Ratified by the prior and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory and sealed with their seal [no longer present].
