Description | The jurors say that the prioress of Minster in Sheppey Priory holds a marsh in 'Weste Swale' in the Isle of Sheppey, from which an annual payment of ½ a mark is payable to the prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. The prior was last seised of this payment by the hands of William de Swanle. The marsh contains pasture for 20 sheep. Asked by whose demise the prioress holds the marsh, they say that they do not know and they do not know the quantity of the marsh.
