Addressed to the archbishop of Canterbury and the king's justices, sheriffs, barons, servants ('Minister') and faithful men of Essex. The king is a witness that Matilda of Saint-Saens ('Sanctus Sidonius'), his kinswoman ('cognata'), ought to hold the manor of Stisted of the prior and monks of Canterbury Cathedral Priory for life for an annual payment of £10.
