Description | From: Alan son of Simon of 'Withune' To: Geoffrey, II, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory The land which he held of Alexander son of Ailbrith and the land which was of Alexander le Bisne, which Alan held of the archbishop of Canterbury in Southwark ('Suthwerch''), with houses, buildings and other appurtenances. For annual payments of 12d to the heirs of Alexander son of Ailbrith and 1d to the archbishop of Canterbury, both payable as specified. Alan has handed the charter which he had of Alexander son of Ailbrith and the chirographs of Alexander son of Ailbrith and Alexander le Bisne, made between him and them in the king's court, concerning the lands to the priory.
