Description | Copies of royal accounts relating to subsidies on wool, hides and wool-fells, on tuns of wine and 12d in the lb on various merchandise as specified collected in the port of Sandwich. Customs duty on cloth also mentioned. The collectors were Geoffrey Louther, William Warner and John Holym and the controller of the customs and subsidies was Walter Stratton. No date. [Date: handwriting.] The original accounts probably date from 5 Nov 1419 to 26 Jan 1421, although the king whose regnal year is used to date them is not named. |
