Description | Party: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Party: the brothers and sisters of St Bartholomew's Hospital, Sandwich
The priory grants the hospital a piece of marsh in in Lydden [in Worth] lying with the priory's land to north and east, the land of Thomas Edward of Sandwich to south and the priory's land between the marsh and the watercourse called the Gestling ('Gestlyngges') [in Northbourne] to west. The hospital may drive its animals along the way which goes from Sandwich to Lydden beyond the priory's land to the said marsh as often as necessary. In exchange, the hospital, with the consent of the mayor and commonalty of Sandwich, has given the priory a piece of marsh lying with the priory's land to south, north and east and the hospital's land to west. Sealed with the seals of the hospital and the mayor and commonalty of Sandwich. Priory's part of indenture.
