Their part of the messuage they bought of John son of Henry le packere in St Mary's parish Sandwich, lying with 'le Melleflet' to south, the great bank of the sea ('magna Ripa maris') to north, the messuage of the heirs of Henry le packere to east and the messuage of the heirs of Randal of London to west. For an annual payment of 2s 6d to the lords of the fee, payable as specified, and doing whatever belongs to the liberty of the town ('villa') of Sandwich. The grant is made to God and St Thomas Becket for the souls of John and Matilda and their ancestors and succesors. Dated 1278, no month.
