The whole of the land with a messuage built upon it which Robert held of the fee of Walter del Erb'i in Southchurch parish, which he bought of Joan, late wife of Richard of Southchurch, 2 acres of land in the said parish which he had of Thomas of Mucking with the land of Alexander the carter ('carectarius') to north and 2 acres of land lying in a field called 'Westfeld' of the fee of William del Erberi next to William's land. Condition against tenure by religious men or Jews. For annual payments of a pair of gloves price ½d or ½d to Robert, 46d and 1 lb of cumin to Richard of Southchurch and 4d to Thomas of Mucking, all payable as specified. For this Roger has paid 30 marks as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
