To: Sewal the carpenter ('carpentarius') of Southchurch

3 dayworks ('Dayworkes') of land in the vill ('villa') of Prittlewell lying next to the land of Robert of Sutton [and?] the way which leads to Prittlewell and abutting the land of Richard the clerk. For an annual payment of 6d, payable as specified. Randal also grants Sewal and Denise ('Deanisa'), Randal's daughter [described as Sewal's wife elsewhere in the deed], 2 dayworks of land lying next to the 3 dayworks in the same vill in free marriage. The 2 dayworks are granted to Sewal and Denise and their heirs or to either of them for life. If Sewal and Denise die without heirs, the 2 dayworks shall revert to Randal. For this the Sewal has also paid ½ a mark as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
