Description | From: Mary late wife of Jordan le Botiler To: Richard of Southchurch Richard has paid Mary 1 mark for a third part of 4 acres of land in the vill ('villa') of Southchurch concerning which she impleaded Richard by a writ of dower in 9EdwI [20 Nov 1280-19 Nov 1281] in the presence of Thomas de Weyland and 'Dominus' John de Lovetot, justices of the king's bench, and their associates. Mary acknowledges that henceforth she has [no] right or claim in the lands. Sealed with the seal of Philip son of Serle [no longer present] because Mary has no seal of her own. No date.
