Description | From: Agnes daughter of Stephen le brewer' of Leigh To: Peter of Southchurch as her chief ('capitalis') lord Her moiety of 3½ acres and 2 dayworks ('deyuerca') of land lying in the vill ('villa') of Leigh between the land which was of Norman le Ta'nur and the land which Selova, the mother of Stephen, Agnes's father, gave to Thomas, Stephen's brother, and with the land which was of Stephen, Agnes's father, to south and the way which leads from the church of Leigh to Southchurch to north. For an annual payment of 8d to John le Brewer', payable as specified. For this Peter has also paid 2½ marks as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
