3 dayworks ('daywerkes') of land in the vill ('villa') of Prittlewell with houses on it, lying in a field called 'Westanfeld' in the corner next to the way which leads from Prittlewell church to west on one side and on the other side to north? and the whole of the homage and service payable by Gilbert scot the carpenter ('carpenter') for 1 acre of land which he held of John in the same vill. For the homage and service owed to the lords of the fee as contained in the charter of feoffment which John had of Hugh, earl of Oxford, which charter John has handed over to Roger as his assign. For this Roger has paid 3½ marks as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
