Full names of both parties supplied from elsewhere in the text.] For 2 acres of their land in the vill ('villa') of Southchurch, 1½ acres lying between 2 acres which fell to Sarah, wife of William... as inheritance by the death of William del Herberi, her father, and between the ditch ('fossatus') which extends from Alan and Honor's messuage [to] the land which William pain held, lying with Alan and Honor's land to west and William's land to east, and ½ an acre lying between Alan and Honor's land and 3 acres of land which fell to Sarah as inheritance by the death of her father, with the land which fell to Evelina ('Avelina'), wife of William... as inheritance by the death of William del Herberi, her father, with Alan and Honor's land to west.
In exchange, Richard has given them 2 acres of land which he has of the gift of Sarah his wife, which fell to her in part as inheritance by the death of William del Herberi... with other land in the said vill. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Southchurch charters.]
