Description | From: Henry of Eastry, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory; the chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: Richard de Clyve, commissary of Canterbury sede vacante [Document badly damaged. Many details supplied from the registered version.] 'Domina' Joan Peche has presented her son Simon Peche to the church of Ringwould ('Ridelingwolde'). The priory has commanded the archdeacon or his official to deal the presentation in the usual way, but the archdeacon, being in remote parts, has failed to execute the mandate. The priory therefore commands Richard to summon the neighbouring rectors, vicars and priests to Eastry church on 5 Oct to enquire into the circumstances of the benefice and the presentation. Given in the chapter house of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. |
