| Description | From: Mgr Raymond de Nogeriis, papal chaplain and papal nuncio
Certain rolls state that the temporal goods of the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory in Kent are assessed ('taxo') at 1,380 marks a year. He has found, however, by diligent inquiry by other rolls and by other good men, that the sum of 1,380 marks covers the priory's goods in the whole province of Canterbury. He therefore absolves the priory of 138 marks as the tenth for one year and acquits it. Given at the New Temple, London.
Witnesses: Mgr Giles, the king's clerk; Nicholas de palm', priest of Mgr Raymond de Nogeriis, papal chaplain and papal nuncio ('presbyter noster'); John de Weynge, clerk
