| Description | From: John Garland, son and heir of Adam Garland of Odiham parish To: John Mayhewe, son of Matthew atte Mere; Agnes, sister of John Mayhewe, son of Matthew atte Mere [Document faded and damaged. Small area of text lost.] John Garland has enfeoffed John Mayhewe and Agnes in 2 acres of arable land lying in a croft called 'le Westcroft' next to 'le Mollond' [in or near Odiham]. John Mayhewe and Agnes grant that if John Garland pays them 40s as specified in the parish church of Odiham the charter and seisin in the lands shall be void. John Mayhewe and Agnes grant that each year the land is sown it will be worth 16d towards John Garland's payment. If John Garland defaults on the payment, the charter and seisin shall remain in full force and John Garland shall have no right in the land. Probably John Mayhewe and Agnes's part of indenture. Given at Odiham [Hampshire].
