An annual payment of 4d, payable as specified by Martin de Ealdehecche for a curtilage lying at 'le Ealdehacche' [in or near Orpington] opposite Martin's messuage, with the land of Richard the marshal ('marescallus') to east, the king's highway to west, William's land to south and the king's highway to north. Right of distraint in the curtilage and William's land to the south of it if payment in arrears. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Orpington charters.]
