Several documents relate to a composition between the archbishop of Canterbury and Norwich Cathedral Priory concering jurisdiction during the vacancy of the see of Norwich. There are 3 documents relating to the compositions in DCc/Register/A, ff199r-203r and 1 in DCc/Register/E, ff82r-83r. Many of these documents have no obvious connection with Canterbury and may only have come here in the 1660s when the Cathedral's archives were returned after the Restoration. DCc-ChAnt/N/55 and DCc-ChAnt/N/57 also relate to Norwich Cathedral Priory and Norwich Cathedral.
CCA-DCc-ChAnt/N/29-39 The majority of charters in this section relate to the manor of Newington in Oxfordshire. Newington is near Wallingford and 4 miles north of Benson. DCc/Register/B, f354v and ff36rr-363r contains 11 charters for Newington and there are 6 charters for Newington in DCc/Register/E, ff374r-375r. DCc-ChAnt/N/30 relates to Monks Risborough and Halton in Buckinghamshire. DCc-ChAnt/N/35 relates to Newington in Surrey.
CCA-DCc-ChAnt/N/40-57 The remaining charters relate to various places beginning with N, including some which cannot be identified. Three charters (ChAnt/N/45-46 and DCc-ChAnt/N/50) relate to grants of land in Nonington and Newnham to provide lights for the altars of St Mary in the nave and St Anselm.
