| Description | From: Peter of Bix ('Bixle') Peter acknowledges that the wood called 'Cumbesgrave' belongs to Canterbury Catherdral Priory and belongs to 2 woods which he holds of the priory in Bix ('Bixle') [Oxfordshire]. He also acknowledges that the priory can and ought to receive and have 'Husbote' and 'Haibote' for their manor of Newington in the same wood as they do in the other two woods which he holds of them in the same vill ('villa'). Peter cannot grant or sell in the wood of 'Cumbesgrave' as he cannot in the other two woods to which it is known to belong, as the charter he has of the priory bears witness.The acknowledgement is made in the full court baron of Newington.
