| Description | Described in the heading as the tenor of an outlawry mentioned in the bill attached to this schedule [no longer present] which was enrolled before the king at Westminster in Trinity term 18 EdwIII [1344]. [Document badly faded. Some text only clearly legible under ultra violet light.] John of Pashley ('Passele') [in Ticehurst, Sussex] was accused of breaking into the enclosure of Henry son of Vincent of Winchelsea at Kitchenour [Sussex] with force and arms and breaking open a chest and strong-box ('forcerium') containing deeds and other documents, which he took away. He was summoned to appear before the shire court of Sussex at Chichester 5 times between 22 Jan and 13 May 1344, but failed to do so and was therefore outlawed. No date.
