| Description | From: Simon of Mongeham, son of Alice daughter of Edwin Brokecherl To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Simon grants the priory 2 acres of land from the holding he holds of it in the vill ('villa') of Mongeham, whichever 2 acres it chooses from the whole of his land in the vill, for an annual payment of 1d, if he defaults on the warranty of the 2 acres of land in the pasture of 'smehemersse' he sold it by his charter. The [original] grant is to take effect after the expiry of the term of 1 year from 29 Sep 1243 which Simon de Greneweia has in the 2 acres by chirograph. Simon of Mongeham binds all his goods moveable and immoveable where ever they are to the priory and renounces all help of canon, civil or royal prohibition. No date.
