DescriptionDetailed list of charges against Hugh de cretinge and Robert blundel, monks of Canterbury Cathedral Priory, including sexual immorality, financial mismanagement and oppressing the priory's tenants. No date. [Date: handwriting. Hugh de cretinge acted as one of the priory's proctors in 1259 - see DCc-ChAnt/A/7C. One of the charges against Robert blundel is that he deceived the priory in the livery ('traditio') of the land of 'stapele' [in Appledore] and these charters have been assigned a mid-13th century date - see DCc-ChAnt/A/148 and DCc-ChAnt/A/160. Sheppard, cited below, assigns a date of c1300.]
