The manor and rectory of Meopham, with live and dead stock as specified. Reserving certain rights and dues. John Hestlen' of Meopham, husbandman, holds the manor and rectory for a term of 21 years by a lease from the priory dated 3 Jul 1521. For a term of 40 years from 29 Sep 1542. For an annual payment of £30 6s 8d, payable as specified. Right of re-entry if payment in arrears. Conditions on repairs and husbandry, and other conditions. William Wygmor, John Jonson', Thomas Jonson' and Thomas Whyte have made a bond in £100 to observe the terms of the lease and if any of them dies during the term Thomas Bartlot shall find a replacement. Priory's part of indenture.
Given in the chapter house of Canterbury Cathedral Priory.

Endorsed with description in early 16th cent hand and 'Meopham' in late 16th cent hand.
