| Description | From: Nicholas Venytre of Meopham To: Thomas Goldwell, II, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory Nicholas acknowledges that he has received the following deeds and copies of the following wills:
(1) Grant From: William Venytre of Meopham, yeoman; William at Woode of Ash, yeoman; Walter Ropkyn' of Lessness [in Erith] To: Thomas Venytre, son of William Venytre, of Canterbury Of a tenement in Meopham parish, which the grantors had of the gift of John Hacche and Andrew Gararde of Meopham and John Chowne of Fairlawn in Wrotham parish. After the death of William Venytre and Juliana, his wife, Thomas is to occupy the lands and is to pay 6 marks each to Nicholas and William, sons of William Venytre, within 4 years after he receives possession. If Nicholas or William dies, the survivor shall receive the other's portion. If they both die, the money shall be spent at the discretion of William Venytre [senior]'s executors. If Thomas wishes to sell the land, one of his brothers, Nicholas or William, shall have it. Dated at Meopham, 10 Jan 1497. Endorsed with livery of seisin; witnesses named.
(2). Grant From: Thomas Ventyre of Canterbury To: Thomas Cobham, gent; John Mascall senior; Thomas Colsoll'; Paul Rychmonde; William Courthop' Of all lands in Meopham parish or elsewhere within Kent which he has of the gift of William Ventyre, his father. The grantees are to hold the lands to Thomas Venytre's use. Dated at Meopham, 25 May 1503. Witnesses named.
(3) Will Of Thomas Venytre of St Alphege parish, Canterbury. Dated 3 Oct 1513.
(4) Will Of Joan Venytre, widow of Thomas Venytre, of St Alphege parish, Canterbury, widow. Dated 12 Oct 1513.
