Part of William's name and some other details lost.] Robert son of Geoffrey is entrusted with the guardianship of Robert and Stephen, sons of William of Hucking? of the holding of Hollingbourne, and all the lands and goods which fell to them after the death of William their father until they reach full age. He shall provide food, clothing, shoes and all other things appropriate to their status and age. Robert son of Geoffrey is not to sell any of Robert and Stephen's property without the prior's consent and shall maintain it in good order. When they reach full age, he shall provide them with a portion from the income of their property, to be assessed by four good and law-worthy men of the neighbourhood, two to be chosen on behalf of Robert son of Geoffrey and two on behalf of Robert and Stephen. For the greater security of the agreement, Robert son of Geoffrey has provided John, son of Geoffrey of Arundel, his brother, Thomas taillour of Eastry and Geoffrey Peyn of Godmersham as pledges.
