DescriptionFrom: the consuls of Stralsund [Rostock, Germany]

Concerning Nicholas Vlemyngh's ship 'Kreyger'. The ship and the goods it was carrying were captured by the English and taken to Calais [Pas-de-Calais, France]. In compensation, the goods of English merchants living in Stralsund were seized. The losses of the Stralsund merchants were paid out of the English goods and the remaining goods were divided into 3 parts. One part was given to the English whose goods had been confiscated, one was given to the citizens of Stralsund who had suffered losses and the third part was reained by the council of Stralsund. Gives names of Stralsund merchants who owned the 'Kreyger' or had goods on board. Sealed with the council's secret seal [no longer present].
