William Lambard and Stephen Harry have been skulking in the woods, lying in wait to rob the king's subject and the prior's tenants at Mersham. On 28 February in Bockhanger [in Mersham] they robbed John Edwards, one of the prior's tenants, and stole a purse and 40d. The prior's tenants arrested William and Stephen as felons at Mersham and imprisoned them. Richard also seized their goods as specified to the prior's use.
