| Description | From: William Sellyng, I, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: Richard Knechbole of Mersham William Lambard and Stephen Harry have been skulking in the woods, lying in wait to rob the king's subject and the prior's tenants at Mersham. On 28 February in Bockhanger [in Mersham] they robbed John Edwards, one of the prior's tenants, and stole a purse and 40d. The prior's tenants arrested William and Stephen as felons at Mersham and imprisoned them. Richard also seized their goods as specified to the prior's use.
