The names of the other farmers, the full date and other details are lost.] The manor of Monkton in the Isle of Thanet, with all the arable lands, pastures, a salt pan, 2 windmills, a dovecot, 'Bedelcorn' and farms, 'le Wilghten' at Brooks End [in Birchington] and live and dead stock as specified. Reserving certain rights and dues. For a term of 3 years. For an annual payment of £26 13s 4d, payable as specified at the priory's treasury at Canterbury. Conditions on carrying grain to Sarre to be shipped to Fordwich, repairs, including repairs to the sea wall, husbandry, and other conditions. Right of distraint and re-entry if payment in arrears. The lessees have made a bond in £200 to observe the terms of the lease. Probably priory's part of indenture. No date. [Date: The document is dated the 8th year, but the king's name is lost.
