Some witnesses' names supplied from registered version.] 1 acre of land with the house upon it, and a moiety of 1 hen and 5 eggs, the land lying with the land of Simon, Alwyn's brother, to east, the land of Jocelyn ('Gocelinus') to west, the king's highway to north and the land of the monks of St Albans Abbey ('monachi sancti albani') to south. For an annual payment of ½d as a quit-rent ('forgabulum'), payable as specified. For this the priory has also paid 16s as a gersum fine. Made and recorded at the priory's capital court ('curia capitalis') at Canterbury. The grant is made for St Dunstan's light in the cathedral church ('eadem ecclesia'). No date. [Date: handwriting.]
