3 virgates of land in the vill ('villa') of Meopham in a field called 'Wolsisham', lying between the land of the court ('curia') of Meopham and Nigel's land and between the land of Godfrey franceys and Nigel's land. Also ½ an acre of land in the field, lying between the land of the court of Meopham and a field called 'scortebrechesland'' and between the land of Godfrey franceys and the land of Godfrey son of Alexander. For an annual payment of 1 rose, payable as specified, for all services except royal service, as much as belongs to so much land of the same holding ('tenementum'). For this Nigel has also paid 12s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Meopham charters.]
