| Description | From: Bartholomew son of Adam merie of Meopham To: Nigel de Refham For 1 bushel of grain ('bladum'), payable by the almoner of Canterbury Cathedral Priory. Payable as specified, a half-bushel ('tolvat') for 1½ acres of land which the almoner holds and a half-bushel for ½ an acre of land which Nigel bought of 'Dominus' Arnold the chaplain ('Capellanus'). For this Nigel has paid 5s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Meopham charters.]
