He has been presented to the church by the prior and chapter of Canterbury Cathedral Priory and instituted as rector. Reserving an annual portion of 6 marks to the priory sacrist and an annual pension of 8s 4s to the priory treasurers, payable as specified. He has paid the portion and the pension as specified as long as he has been rector. Because his seal is unknown to many, he has caused the seal of the official of the court of Canterbury sede vacante to be affixed to the document. Note at end of document that the official sealed the document in John's house on 21 Jan. Given at London.
