3½ acres and 2 dayworks ('daiwerka') of land of the tenement which was of John le Wodeward, Walter's uncle, in Leigh-on-Sea ('la Leghe') parish, lying with the land of Norman le Tanur to north and the tenement which Selova, Stephen's mother, gave to Thomas, his brother, on the other side ('ex altera parte'), and between Stephen's land and the way which leads from Leigh-on-Sea church to 'Suthcherchewode'. Also a moiety of one-third of the corn crop upon the land, reserving the tithe. For an annual payment of 16½d, payable as specified. Condition on building a house on the land for Walter's use by 1 Aug. Details of construction given. If the house is not ready on time through Stephen's fault, he will give Walter a house of his in the same parish so that Walter's autumn corn can be stored there until his own house is finished.
