John is the nephew of St Thomas Becket by his sister Rose ('Roheisia'). Alan grants him the vicarage of St Mary Bothaw ('de Bothage'), London. For an annual pension of 5s, payable as specified. John swore in the chapter house that he would pay the pension as long as he lived and held the church. He also swore to preserve the church and that neither he nor anyone else would attempt to diminish its rights, nor would he consent to this. No date. [Date: Prior Alan's dates.]
