| Description | From: Henry son of Theobald of Lee [in Ickham]; Laurence son of Theobald of Lee [in Ickham]; John son of Theobald of Lee [in Ickham] To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
For the warranty of an annual payment of 5s 6d of their free rent in Ickham ('Yecham') which they sold to the priory especially for discharging all the lands and tenements which were of Theobald their father from Samson the Jew of Canterbury. If they cannot warrant the whole or part of the payment, they will assign the equivalent amount from their demesne to the priory. They submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the [rural] dean of Canterbury, so that he can force them to observe the terms of the bond by means ecclesiastical censure. At their request Mgr William curteis, [rural] dean of Canterbury has attached his seal, together with theirs. Document ends with 'Hiis testibus', but no witnesses are listed. Given at Canterbury
