| Description | From: John of Well [in Ickham], son of Laurence To: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
27 acres of land, of which 6½ acres with his barton of Gore lie among ('inter') the land the priory bought of Alfred ('Aluredus') of Gore, and 20½ acres lie in 'Smalhamme' [in Ickham?] next to the other land the priory bought of Alfred. For this the priory has also paid 26s as a gersum fine. The priory has also granted him an annual payment of 20s, 1 cock and 2 hens, payable by Christina tubbe for the tenement she holds in Well [In Ickham] which was of John of Well, John's uncle. Made and recorded at the priory's capital ('capitalis') court at Canterbury. Priory's part of indenture. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Ickham charters.]
