The whole portion of his inheritance which he has in Ickham ('yecham') and whatever right he has in a moiety of the whole of the tenement which was of Theobald his father. For an annual payment of 1d, payable as specified in the priory's treasury at Canterbury. For this the priory has also paid 10 marks as a gersum fine. Document ends with 'hiis testibus', but no witnesses are listed. No date. [Date: handwriting.]
Endorsed with description, describing the document as Laurence's last charter ('ultima carta') of the whole portion of his inheritance, and note of registration in late 13th cent hands. |
