2 acres of land lying in a field called 'fernthe' [in Ickham], between the land of Thomas the clerk of Ickham ('Iecham') and the land of Hamo de la helle. Roger will pay the rent and perform the services in the court of Ickham for these 2 acres from the remainder of his tenement. He has strengthened the transaction by taking an oath, in addition to sealing the document. The grant is made for a light for the cathedral church. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Ickham charters.]
