Recites Edward IV's inspeximus and confirmation to Prior Robert Botill', dated 12 Feb 1462. This recites various inspeximuses, confirmations and grants by Richard II, Edward III, Edward II, Edward and Henry III which granted and confirmed the Hospitallers' possessions and judicial and financial privileges as specified.
The king confirms the Hospitallers' privileges. Note under plica stating that this is a true copy of the original. No date. [Date: handwriting. Thomas Docwra was prior of the Hospitallers 1501-1527.] Original sent patent and dated 4 Nov 1486, at Westminster.
Initial letter and three other letters in first line decorated with foliage designs, abstract patterns and pen flourishing.

Endorsed 'Thomas Docwra'? in 15th cent hand.
