| Description | From: Henry VI, king of England To: William Molashe, I, prior of Canterbury Cathedral Priory
Prior John [Wodnesbergh, II] and his predecessors were seised of an annual payment of 13 marks issuing from Tintern Abbey in Ireland. The present prior cannot hold the rent because he cannot leave his church and is therefore absent from Ireland. The king gives the prior permission to be absent from Ireland for life. His servants and attornies can receive the payment and arrears and send them to England, any statutes against absentees from Ireland notwithstanding. Sent patent. By privy seal writ. The clerk is Mapilton'. Given at Westminster [Middlesex].
