DescriptionMemorandum of payments sent by James Sherlok to the treasurers of Canterbury Cathedral Priory for an annuity [from Tintern Abbey] in Ireland, by John kipping of London and others (named). Payments are in money and goods, including mantles, wax, linen cloth and a chalice. Note at end of document that he only began to receive the annuity in 11Edw IV [1471-1472] because he was in dispute with the abbot of Tintern and Mgr Gilbert Talbot and that of £42 owed to the priory he still owes £4 1s 6d. No date. [Date: latest payment dated 20 Mar 1479; reference to the annuity being owed for 6 years from 11EdwIV].
