The abbey is bound to pay the priory 10 marks a year as specified in the conventual church of Bath Abbey ('Batonia'') for the income of the priory's churches in Ferns diocese. If the abbey does not pay or the priory incurs any expenses or losses in acquiring the money the abbey shall make full satisfaction for them, as well as the principal payment. The abbey is bound to pay the churches' financial burdens, make provision for services in them and maintain ('exhibeo') a chaplain to celebrate mass for the dead, and especially for Hervey de monte Mauricio and the other founders and benefactors of the priory, in the chapel of St Brendan at Bannow ('Banuwe') [County Wexford]. The abbey subjects itself to the jurisdiction of the archbishop of Dublin and his official and renounces all rights of appealing to law and custom against this agreement. Sealed additionally with the seal of Tintern Abbey in Llandaff diocese.
