Reginald's name supplied from Norris's list (DCc/LA 5/79ii).] A piece of land in the vill ('villa') of Monks Eleigh ('ylleya monachorum') containing 9 perches [long], 1 perch and 4 feet wide at one headland, 5 feet wide in another place and 2 feet at the other headland, lying among ('inter') Robert's land, between the way which leads from the house formerly of Richard? ylg' to the house of Robert the smith ('faber') and the land of Robert the smith ('faber'). For an annual payment of ½d, payable as specified. For this Robert and Hawis have also paid 3s as a gersum fine. No date. [Date: handwriting.]
