| Description | From: the prior and convent of Canterbury Cathedral Priory To: John Denys; William Pyk, chaplain of the chantry of Ickham
The priory gives John licence to grant 5 tenements, 34 acres of land, 4 acres of meadow, a payment of 4s and a payment of 4 quarters of palm-barley in Ickham, which he holds of its manor of Ickham, to William and his successors. It also gives William licence to receive the lands, the statute of mortmain notwithstanding. Whenever the chantry becomes vacant, the new chaplain shall pay the priory 6s 1¼d as a relief. Right of distraint if relief in arrears. Priory's part of indenture. Given at the chapter house of Canterbury Cathedral Priory.
