By an indenture dated 2 Jun 1569, Mr John Joselyn, rector of Hollingbourne and Hucking, leased the churches of Hollingbourne and Hucking, with the parsonage house of Hollingbourne and all the buildings, glebe lands and income belonging to both churches, to Edward Waterhowse, gent. The bond is to enforce a clause in the lease obliging Edward to repair and maintain the chancels of both churches. |
