The whole tenement which fell to him by the death of his ancestors in the holding of Hollingbourne, except the tenement he holds of the sons of Alwus, which he reserves to make a messuage for himself. For an annual payment of 8d as a quit-rent ('foragabulum'), payable as specified in Hollingbourne churchyard ('cimiterium'). For this Roger has also paid 40s as a gersum fine. Made and recorded at Hollingbourne court. No date. [Date: handwriting and witnesses to other Hollingbourne charters.]
