The cathedral prior has given Stephen Norton of Chart licence to grant 9 acres of meadow in Boughton Monchelsea ('Bocton Monchensy'), which he holds of the manor of Hollingbourne for fealty, services and a heriot as specified, to Moatenden Priory. The cathedral priory also gives Moatenden Priory licence to receive the lands, the statute of mortmain notwithstanding. Moatenden Priory grants that at the death of the minister of Moatenden, it will pay the cathedral priory ½d and a 4th part of ¼d land-cheap ('Landchep') and 3s 4d heriot at the manor of Hollingbourne. Right of distraint and penalty of double the amount if relief and heriot in arrears. Cathedral priory's part of indenture.
