Richard, wishing to give effect to this grant, gives John licence to grant 6 acres of meadow at Hackington, with an annual value of 40s, to the priory, for the use of its almoner. The lands are valued at 22s 8d by an inquisition held before John Beche, the king's escheator for Kent, in part satisfaction of the 10 marks.
