Evidence shows that the priory's predecessors granted their estate ('fundum') in the denn of 'Shlepynden' for fealty, suit of court of their manor of Godmersham and payments as contained in their custumal. Reserving to the priory all the wood in the estate and pannage whenever it shall occur and 'dangerium' ('Danger'') of 2s in any year in which pannage is wanting, payable as specified. The priory, at the request of the present tenants and for an unspecified sum of money, grants them timber rights as specified. Reserving to the priory fealty, suit of court, rents, services and 'dangerium' of 2s, except pannage. Priory's part of indenture. Given at Canterbury.
